Leave both of these on your pillow, as the housekeeper will need to show this to security to prove it was meant for them. You may notice a 10% service charge added to your bill as well.This fee is for the hotel staff. Tip to the porter $1 per bag. For tour guide is $25 / day and to the driver $10 / day. Some taxi companies will add a 10% service fee to your final fare, but not all do. Make sure you know if it is included or not before you pay. If it’s not leaving a gratuity of around 10% is good tipping etiquette.

    Punta Cana The fine and white sand of the beaches and the tranquil waters of the ocean are protected by a coral barrier that stretches for about 8 km, parallel to the shore. Along the coast, the resorts and private operators offer catamaran rides, speed boats, ski jets, fishing, boat parties, dinner at sea, parasailing, snorkeling and scuba diving, taxi-boat services and, in addition, banana, kayaking, windsurfing, sailing, beach volleyball.  

    It is an ancient fortress of Spanish domination (located in the northern part of the Dominican Republic, in the province of Puerto Plata) and is considered to be the most representative military structure of the colonial period. It is also known as El Morro de San Felipe; its purpose was to protect the city of Puerto Plata from pirates and corsair attacks. Located on a hill – at Puntilla del Malecon, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, the fortress was of high importance.

    La Romana  It is one of the most popular beach destinations of the Dominican Republic and the Caribbean. La Romana is the third largest city in the Dominican Republic and administrative capital of the province with the same name. La Romana is a leading component of the growing tourism industry, with many seafront resorts, such as Bayahibe beaches, Casa de Campo, one of the world’s largest resorts; La Romana is a top destination for golf.

    A land of rich amber deposits, this beach resort is protected by a chain of majestic mountains. Here is where Columbus anchored in his travels, and here is where tourists discover the same beauty and the same turquoise waters that enchanted the adventurer more than 500 years ago. A tour of Puerto Plata must include a walk along the Malecon shore, reaching the San Felipe Historic Fort, a walk among Victorian houses, a stop at the impressive Amber Museum, and a tasting and shopping visit to the Brugal Rum Factory.

    Saona Island  Situated near the southeast coast of La Altagracia Province, Saona Island was discovered in 1494 by Christopher Columbus, giving it the name of Saona in honor of Michele da Cuneo, a native of Savona (northern Italy). A popular tourist destination, Saona Island is a protected area part of the Parque Nacional del Este.
