New Zealand Holidays

In the southwest of the Pacific Ocean, about 1,000 marine miles away from Australia, lies majestic New Zealand, a land of native beauty, a terrestrial paradise where impressive mountains sprinkled by volcanic lakes, geysers, small glaciers and caves guard fine sandy beaches. Golden or coastal beaches with mangroves or fiords complete the landscape. New Zealand is a land that awaits to be discovered.

Made out of two large islands – North Island and South Island – and several small islands (Stewart, Chatham, Campbell), New Zealand has no less than 14 natural parks that conserve valuable landscape, flora and fauna. As a reflection of the geographic isolation of the archipelago, a series of endemisms such as the kiwi bird, the kea parrot, the katipo spider, the cormorant and the bird takahe appear here.

New York, USA Surrounded by majestic mountains and located on the shores of Lake Wakatipu, in whose crystal waters snow-capped peaks mirror, Queenstown is an international prestigious resort. It seems that the discovery of gold on the River Arrow Valley in 1862 brought Queensland its name.

Situated at the southern end of the Pegasus Peninsula near the estuary formed by the Avon and Heathcote rivers, Christchurch is the largest city in South Island and the second largest city of New Zealand. Christchurch is considered the town with the best quality drinking water. Other attractions are the Canterbury Museum and the Arts Center.

Situated on the eastern coast of New Zealand’s South Island, Kaikoura is 180 km north of Christchurch. Off the Kaikoura Peninsula that is bordering the city, marine life is extremely abundant due to ocean currents; the city is an important port and marine fishing center. Kaikoura enjoys spectacular landscapes due to the nearby mountains and is the starting point for exploration and study of marine life.

The largest city in New Zealand, Auckland is also known as the seamen’s city, due to its maritime traditions. The central part of the city lies on a narrow isthm between Manukau Harbor (Tasman Sea) and Waitemata Harbor (Pacific Ocean).

It is the place where the filming of the movie trilogy The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit series was made. The unique filming platform is found on the territory of the Alexander farm, being an attractive tourist destination. The place was discovered by Peter Jackson during the aerial research to find a place to shoot.
